Week 3 · Day 3 — Nose and Mouth
The machine can mimic taste, but it has no discernment. Discernment requires a body, a cost, and a memory of consequence.

TL;DR
- We are culturally starved and relying on algorithms for direction.
- Machines lack discernment because they don't suffer consequences.
- The 'nose' is for rejecting what is 'off' or unappealing.
- The 'mouth' is for identifying what is genuinely desired and wanted.
- Discernment involves both rejection and desire, not just taste.
- The challenge is to inventory personal inputs and find unique 'training data' not already in machines.
